Oh really it sound odd that our actors are into other business also other than acting! Well Badshah Shahrukh Khan believes in living his life King size. After his popularity in Bollywood, he is now set to spread his magic in the filed of property dealings too.

Reportedly, he is into developments of signature building which is in the name of Shah Rukh Khan Boulevard on Al Dana Island in Ras Al Khaimah. This is known to be one of the UAE’s seven emirates. Shahrukh has been always attracted to property plans and now finally he is converting his dream into a big reality.

Shahrukh’s estate covers an area of 1,700 sq km which is one or two bedroom apartment and has been designed by well-known architect Toni Ashai who also Shahrukh’s associate with TSA International Investments, which is a leading real estate financial consultancy in the UAE.

Bollywood Actor Arrested for Extortion

Actor arrested for trying to extort money from Delhi businessman

New Delhi, Jan 3 (IANS) A former TV and Bollywood actor and his aide were arrested in the capital for allegedly making threatening calls posing as underworld don Chhotta Shakeel’s henchman to extort money from a Delhi based businessman, the police said Saturday.

Aslam Ansari, 31, and Phool Singh, 25, were demanding Rs.5 million from the south Delhi garment exporter, and were arrested Thursday, the police said.

The businessman complained to the Delhi Police Anti-Extortion Cell saying ‘he has been receiving several threatening calls from a person identifying himself as Badshah, a henchman of Chhotta Shakeel’, deputy commissioner of police (crime) Neeraj Thakur told reporters.

The police didn’t reveal the name of the businessman.

According to Thakur, the extortionists kept making calls and sending SMSes since November last to the complainant asking him to arrange the money, else face dire consequences.

‘All the calls were made from a mobile phone registered in Mumbai and the caller was speaking in a Mumbai-like dialect. Through electronic surveillance, the location of the phone was traced to a house in west Delhi,’ Thakur said.

Yesterday

Sorry for not posting any articles yesterday.  I figured I should at least explain why even if this isn’t bollywood news.

On my way to work yesterday I was in a auto accident.  I was very lucky to walk away from it.  I suffered a few bumps and bruises but other than that I am fine.  Today I am sore but that will probably last a few days until I am ready to get back to work.

‘Slumdog Millionaire is a fictitious story about an 18-year-old Indian, who wins India’s version of Who Wants To Be A Millionaire.

Shot on location in Mumbai before the terror attacks, the film has already charmed critics and Golden Globe voters, earning four nominations, including best director and picture.

Boyle couldn’t be happier with the industry recognition.

“You need it for a film like this because we don”t have huge stars in it, who are going to do all that automatic [promotion] work for us,” Sky News quoted Boyle, as saying.

Few days back, she was badly injured when Ranbir Kapoor unknowingly slapped her hardly. Due to the injury the shooting for Rajkumar Santoshi’s Ajab Prem Ki Gazab Kahani remained held up for two days. Katrina was hurt again when her foot fastened under the water.

Preity Zinta went to court recently for the first hearing of her defamation case, which she has filed against Mumbai tabloid Mid-Day.

The defamation case was filed on July 15, 2005, after Mid Day published the part of the tête-à-tête that depicted to the actress in a controversial way. During the hearing Preity Zinta said, “That news piece was completely fictitious. It is very shocking to Indian morals. It doesn’t serve as news but is cheap; such language corrupts and depresses the young people who read the newspaper.”

Though Preity Zinta was not present in India at the time when the article was published, she says, “I felt humiliated as it spoiled my reputation and character in public.”

I appreciate the energy and passion with which he has made the film for the second time. He infused his energy in the film and it connected with the audience and turned it into such a big hit.”

Aamir was speaking at the success party of the film here Tuesday evening. Ghajini has raked in an initial of Rs.900 million worldwide over the weekend.
